Bow Thrusters
Tate &
Crewe Marine have successfully
retro-fitted and upgraded both bow
and stern thrusters in a wide
variety of craft, transforming the
control available to the skipper in
all slow speed manoeuvring
situations.
Successful and cost-effective
installation requires a wide range
of skills and experience. Location
of the thrusters and selection of
the appropriate size are fundamental
to correct performance, whilst
installation of the tube in the hull
must be carried out to the highest
standard to protect structural
integrity.
It is
vital that electrically powered
units are properly wired to
appropriate power sources so that
the vessel’s electrical capacity and
systems are not compromised.
Hydraulically powered units have
another set of equally important
